Dear Clients,

COVID-19 has made a big impact on our lives. In order to meet your needs and protect our community, we’re making some changes to our practice.

We will be decreasing our potential exposure by having only one veterinarian on the premises. In order to best serve your pets, we will be seeing mainly sick or injured pets. If your pet needs an annual examination, please wait to schedule that appointment. We will no longer be performing elective surgeries in order to conserve supplies for those that need them. This is in line with the American Veterinary Medical Association’s guidelines (https://www.avma.org/).

We currently disinfect our practice regularly to avoid transmissible diseases. We will be disinfecting surfaces more often to ensure that we are keeping everyone as safe as possible. We have sinks and soap in every room, and we welcome you to use them or the hand sanitizer we keep at the front desk.

To protect our staff and our clients, we will no longer be shaking hands. We still value your trust and our relationship with you.

We’re asking that only one person accompany the animal to the appointment. We understand that sometimes, it can be difficult to relay a lot information to someone else. We’re happy to have our vets call and speak to other people or members of your family if desired.

Our employees will be staying home if sick. We ask that you do the same. If you’re showing any symptoms of illness, please reschedule your appointment. If there’s an urgent issue or emergency, we ask that you call when you arrive and wait in your car. We will send a staff member to you to pick up your pet. We will then call you for a history and call again when the examination is over and the vet has recommendations or treatment options.

We thank you for your understanding in these difficult times.
